Library & Library Policies

NTGM maintains an active library of well over 900 books, videos, and DVDs on a variety of fiber-art related topics, from traditional to state-of-the art. Items are available to current members only, on a monthly sign-out basis. We encourage members to keep items in circulation by returning them the following month.  All items must be returned by the annual June luncheon for re-shelving and inventory.

The NTGM library collection is now viewable on librarything.com. The library is a great way to add to your knowledge base, increase your technical skill, and preview books before you buy. Donations are gladly accepted.

Reminder about policies and procedures

  • Remember that the money raised from the Flea Market pays for your library, so keep buying!

  • The goal of the NTGM library is to provide all members with free access to books and other materials on a wide range of fiber-art related topics. As with any public library, we need to be sure books stay in circulation by ensuring that they are returned in a timely fashion. Please be considerate of your sister members and try to return your materials by the next meeting.

  • If you check out books and cannot come to the next month's meeting, please try to find someone to bring them in (check your NTGM directory) or contact Linda and let her know of a delay in returning. (Please do not return items to the church office.) Once all previous checked out books are returned, we encourage members to check out other books and materials.

  • If something bad happens to your book, please expect to replace it for the Guild.

  • As always, if you have a particular item you'd like to see in the library, please let us know by contacting Linda here.
